Physician Services Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY
Train and guide employees to execute their tasks and support the team by supervising daily activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
- Supervise Claim Edit Team for multiple clients
- Supervise daily activities
- Answers staff questions, follows up and gives instructions when needed
- Communicates effectively with Conifer Staff
- Prepares performance evaluations and action plans to document and communicate individual staff performance
- Supervises all workflow processes to ensure appropriate turnaround time is met
- Ensures appropriate training for new hires within the department is conducted in a timely manner
- Monitors team workload and weekly productivity standards
- Conducts monthly department meetings as well as 1:1 meeting with staff to deliver results related to productivity, quality, and occurrences
- Provides coaching, training, and counseling to staff
- Effectively educates team in regard to changes/updates as needed
- Maintains written policies and procedures for all clients as needed
- Ensure appropriate HIPAA/Compliance guidelines are met
- Reviews and approves timesheets and all time-off requests
- Conduct weekly audits to identify quality issues and training needs
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed
- Attends client meetings and conference calls as required
- Participates in interviews for new hires
- Reviews employee attendance and provides disciplinary action if needed
- Works all systems to cover for absences and vacations
- Submits help desk tickets
- Assist with testing for system upgrades
- Assist with implementation of new clients and team training to support those clients

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in a medical billing environment preferred
- Previous experience with medical billing systems required, GE Centricity, EPIC or Next Gen preferred
- EPIC claims certification a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Visio preferred
