Phlebotomy Supervisor FT Days Position Summary

Supervises daily operations of phlebotomists and lab assistants.
Assists in selection of personnel for hire.
Performance management, and makes recommendations on discipline and terminations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and prioritizes daily operations of phlebotomists and lab assistants.
  • Assists in selection of personnel for hire.
  • Ensures service level agreements are met through implementation of operational efficiencies.
  • Will oversee all aspects of reference lab/sendout testing, as requested.


Qualifications:

Phlebotomy Supervisor FT Days Candidate Will Possess the Following Education and License or Certifications

Education

Required: High School Graduate or equivalent

Experience

Required: 3 years of phlebotomy or specimen processing (pre-analytic) experience with increasing responsibility in an acute care facility

Certifications

Required: Phlebotomy Certification where State law requires
Preferred: Completion of formal phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar.
