Brookwood Baptist Medical Center:Located in Birmingham, this 588 bed facility provides the following services: Brain & Neuro, Cancer Care, Children's Services, Diagnostics, Digestive Disorders, Ear, Nose & Throat, Emergency, Gynecological Surgery, Heart Care, infertility issues, Interventional Radiology, Maternity, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Psychiatry (one of the largest providers in the State), Pulmonary and Respiratory, Rehabilitation Services, Robotic Surgery, Sleep Center, Surgical Services, Urology, Weight Loss Surgery, Women's Health, Workforce Wellness, and Wound Care.
The Assistant CNO is responsible for daily nursing operations and supports the Chief Nursing Officer in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing services to ensure delivery of adequate and competent patient care. This position will require to have FTE's/Departments reporting to it.
- Assists CNO with developing, maintaining and evaluating organizational planning systems compatible with the ANA Code of Ethics, and Nursing standards to facilitate the delivery of patient care services, assumes role of administrator on call, functions as patient ombudsman; acts on CNO's behalf during absence; oversees direct reports and staffing office functions.
Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor degree in a health care related field or a BSN and a MSN or Master's in health care related field.
Required: Two (2) years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full time charge nurse/related position
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
