Cardiac Sonographer

Description

Position will split days between Boca Raton and Delray Beach.

The Cardiac Sonographer provides non-invasive cardio diagnostic evaluations. Uses procedural data obtained to evaluate cardio disease. Performs quantitative and qualitative interpretation of video recordings. Obtains patient history.

• Selects and performs appropriate procedure(s) and is responsible for integrating clinical findings and testing results into an overall diagnostic impression 
• Discusses clinical and diagnostic findings with medical staff and may occasionally communicate findings to attending and/or referring physicians 
• Operates and maintains testing equipment, instruments and supplies consistent with established standards
• Documents patient information, test results and measurements accurately 
• Assures correct patient information on requests, reports and PACS 
• Organizes work area and maintains supplies

Qualifications

• AS degree in Cardio Services or applied sciences or equivalent experience required 
• Graduate of an accredited program for Ultrasonography required 
• Registered for RDCS 
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider required 
• 6 months experience in echocardiography required 
• Strong proficiency in computer based programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
• Ability to work well with other team members and consultants in remote offices as well as independently
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment
