Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse / RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. The Registered Nurse / RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The Registered Nurse / RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. The Registered Nurse / RN utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act. The Registered Nurse / RN reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in electronic health record.
Qualifications
EducationRequired: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Preferred: (1) year experience in Medical/Surgical or Labor and Delivery
CertificationsRequired:
- Registered Nurse / RN Licensed in the State of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS
- American Heart Association ACLS
- NRP
- Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification within 90 days of start date
Novice or Novice to L&D:
- Fetal Heart Monitoring certification within 90 days of start
- ACLS within 90 days of start
- NRP within 90 days of start
