Patient Access Rep at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital - ER department Day or Afternoon shifts

We are actively seeking a PATIENT ACCESS REP to join the Conifer Health Solutions team!

What You'll Do
-Greet, schedule, register, and discharge patients with world-class customer service
-Accurately complete patient demographic information
-Comply with all laws protecting patient information
-Inform patients about financial responsibilities and process payments
-Verify insurance benefits and coverage
-Coordinate post-discharge care for patients
-Collaborate with doctors, nurses and staff to provide outstanding care to all patients

What You Bring to the Team
-Caring, hardworking and enthusiastic attitude
-Fantastic customer service and communication skills
-Great typing skills and computer experience
-Desire to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy
-Dedication to patient privacy laws
-Understanding of medical terminology preferred
-Enthusiasm to work with patients from diverse backgrounds

What You Will Need to be Successful
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Flexibility and availability! Hospitals are always open to serve the needs of the community. Though our leaders work hard to provide you a steady schedule, the best candidates are available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
-Customer service experience preferred
-Experience in medical facility, health insurance or related area preferred
-Ability to lift or carry up to 25 lbs or occasionally push a wheelchair to assist patients (with or without reasonable accommodations)
