This position will focus on the development and delivery of business performance reports that aid operational business units to make objective decisions. The Business Insight Analyst III will assist the operational business units by performing data analysis and identifying trends that will allow the business unit to analyze and improve business performance. This position will also be responsible for the consistency and integrity of data reported. This position works with all levels of management to determine reporting requirements. Communicates improvement opportunities or analysis directly to business unit leaders by drawing observations and making astute recommendations to address strategy. May have oversight of Analyst I and/or II.

  • Delivers timely and accurate scheduled (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) reporting. Summarize disparate data to formulate analysis to client.
  • Independently clarifies report needs with clients to understand the purpose and content of request, utilizes systems to create and deliver analysis to meet clients’ needs, audits and analyzes data to verify quality and data integrity. Points out and researches data anomalies.
  • Develops and delivers complex ad hoc reports and business unit specific information. Provide suggestions and recommendations to perform the necessary analytics to ensure requests are complete and accurate.
  • Learns new technologies and systems to advance knowledge of reporting and analysis
  • Serves as a resource to Analyst I and II and provides information and training as required.

  • Make recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of data. 
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in situations with minimal requirements provided.
  • Willing to help co-workers when needed and positively responds to cross training.
  • Ability to adapt to various Patient Accounting systems.
  • Advise and partner with clients on strategy alignment and best practices. 
  • Position requires basic business skills, an understanding of general financial operations and major AR goals, preferably in the healthcare environment.
  • Advance knowledge of relational database management systems such as AS/400, Showcase, MS Access, MS SQL Server/MySQL.
  • Advanced SQL language skills (creating complex queries and stored procedures)
  • Proficient (high skill level) with various desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Access.
  • VBA, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy or similar experience required.
  • 4 year college degree in Business, Accounting, IS, Engineering and 5-7 years analytics and reporting experience.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
