Be a part of Tenet Healthcare Corporation’s National Business Development Team as the Director of Business Development for the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, White Rock in Dallas, Texas.
Currently recruiting a strategic and operational Director of Business Development (DBD) for, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, White Rock (formerly known as Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake), located in the heart of East Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1959, the hospital, which is part of Tenet Healthcare’s portfolio, is a full service 218 bed acute care facility and is a joint venture between Tenet and Baylor Scott & White.
This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital and be part of the leadership team with a dotted line to Tenet’s Texas Region Chief Business Development Officer. Reporting to the Director of Business Development are 3-5 FTEs with responsibility for: business development, planning and analysis, physician “sales,” marketing, internal and external communications, and community liaison.
The DBD is responsible for driving the organizational success of the hospital through the development of an effective marketing plan that creates a quality differentiation for the hospital in the East Dallas market, establishes an aggressive physician sales program and increases customer brand loyalty and patient satisfaction. The DBD will lead the hospital’s business strategy and market development and have responsibility for all aspects of business development, including growth of facility admissions and market share; physician development, recruitment and redirection; clinical program development; business planning, decision support and analytics; and marketing and communications. Key responsibilities include:
Business Strategy/Business Planning - Leadership for the development and implementation of the facility’s business strategy & market positioning which includes ongoing analysis of market dynamics and market share changes, product line performance and overall tracking of business initiatives and competitive intelligence.
Physician/Relationship Development – Improving relationships with local physicians and retaining and growing physician volume.
Program Development – Identifying new business opportunities based on research and analysis.
Marketing – Developing and implementing marketing plan to promote facility’s business initiatives to its constituents.
The successful DBD candidate will possess:
- A college Degree required and an advanced degree with a focus on Marketing and business development is preferred.
- 5 plus years’ healthcare management level experience in strategic planning, business development, market research and knowledge of acute care operations, strategic growth and financial planning.
- Proven financial management skills, capable of reaching closure and timely accomplishment of objectives with a focus on P & L.
- Ability to build targeted sales and marketing lists, research in-depth business profiles on prospects and competitors, analyze market research and identify new opportunities and prospects for financial growth.
- A high energy leader capable of creating and managing an effective sales pipeline and creating powerful marketing campaigns to deliver high quality and profitable business results and who is able to develop and manage customer relationships and build brand loyalty.
