Key Washington, D.C.-based Government Relations role responsible for leading Federal Government Relations strategy and execution, including trade association positioning, oversight of Political Action Committee (PAC) contributions, federal advocacy and grassroots communications, and internal and external communications to advance Tenet’s public policy goals.
Job Description
- Oversee federal trade association strategy and positioning.
- Oversee federal lobbyists, strategy, and contract execution and communications.
- Lead and advance Tenet’s federal government relations and advocacy agenda, including legislative and regulatory summaries and strategic responses, messages, and creation of educational content to increase employee engagement.
- Coordinate facility visits by Members of Congress.
- Strategically assess and place corporate, market, and other leaders in roles with numerous federal and national trade association committees and boards.
- Develop and execute federal political giving strategy.
- Lead and update daily, bi-weekly, and quarterly reporting to Senior Leadership Team, updating policy and advocacy materials.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required in relative field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Seven to ten years of relevant work experience. Including federal legislative, regulatory/agency, trade association, corporate, or campaign experience focusing on issues relevant to hospitals or healthcare delivery
- High level of competence with business software, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to update project management documents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and oversee multiple tasks.
- Experience in creating and updating project management documents (Excel and PowerPoint)
