Director, Physician Recruitment and Provider Services - Tenet Physician Resources (TPR)
Reports to: Senior Director, Physician Recruitment, TPR
- The Director provides oversight and directly manages the day-to-day interaction and production of a team of recruitment team leaders including hiring, training, monitoring and motivating. They work together to ensure the department identifies and implements sourcing strategies to identify qualified physician candidates to meet our facilities’ community needs. The policies of HR, Compliance and Recruitment are taught by the Director, and via LearnShare.
- The Director works with Market TPR and Hospital Leadership to support monthly collaboration calls In-Market Recruiters, Strategy Officers and TPR CEO’s. The Director also provides reporting on the market’s pipeline of physician candidates.
- The Director works closely with the Graduate Medical Education programs across Tenet to define strategies for graduate retention within the Tenet family.
- The Director works with the VP of HIM Operations to oversee the recruitment of Physician Advisors.
- The Director will oversee the recruitment of APPs to include nurse practitioners, physician assistants and CRNAs.
- The Director will oversee the recruitment of providers to support the divisions Physician Specialty Services, interacting and collaborating with our partners in USPI.
- The Director will also overs the recruitment of providers to support Provider Staffing Solutions, otherwise known as the Hospital-Based provider division.
- The Director owns the relationships with all job boards, third party recruitment firms and locums agencies. Works together with Procurement to ensure contractual obligations and renewals are completed on a timely basis.
- The Director works with the Senior Director of Recruitment on a daily basis regarding strategic planning and determining the Department’s success. This includes scrutinizing vendors, firms, sourcing strategies, creating best practices, industry trends, department activity, successes and identifies target areas for improvement. The position ensures the accuracy of the Physician Recruitment Department’s database entries and provides reports and presentations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, management, business, or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of Physician Recruitment experience and be well versed in the different specialties. Extensive sales, telemarketing, or external recruiting experience required.
- Self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, problem solving and time management skills are essential.
- Understanding recruitment laws and regulations.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of program/project management software, Salesforce.
- Need to have experience leading a recruitment team.
- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets, mitigating risk to ensure needed timelines are met and managing multiple strategic priorities.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence and high-level influencing skills.
- Leads with executive presence.
