Summary

Responsible for facilitating proper charge capture across the market in accordance with standard billing policies and clinical documentation practices through the use of the hospital’s electronic information systems, manual processes, and review of the medical record.
Identifies inconsistencies in medical reports and works with healthcare staff to improve charge capture and error correction.

  1. Leads and directs a high performing team through evaluating performance and promoting education and continual learning of the charge capture and billing functions for all markets and clinicians across 9 states.
  2. Develops the vendor partner relationship including essential responsibilities on daily, weekly, and monthly basis as well as specific job functions, budget targets and all other revenue capture responsibilities.
  3. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
  4. Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
  5. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Education

Education:BA required but will consider requisite experience leading revenue charge capture for large corporate multi-specialty physician groups.

Certification: None

Experience: Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading and managing the charge capture process in large medical practice and/or billing company; specifically involved in the charge entry, billing and edit processes. Finance experience a plus.
