Skills:
- Ability to develop and execute against a contract strategy to support clinical program development; this includes scanning the market and proactively identifying contract opportunities
- Ability to perform and leverage analytics to inform sourcing/contracting strategies (e.g., benchmarking, industry/market analysis, spend analysis, contribution margin analysis, cost/benefit analysis)
- Track record of identifying and implementing cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives across various areas (e.g., pricing, standardizing, utilization)
- Ability to manage internal customer and supplier relationships to ensure successful contract implementation and operational effectiveness
- Exceptional relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills that translate into strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams (e.g., physicians, clinical staff, administrative support staff, business planning)
- Ability to create strategic business plans for various contract categories and clearly communicate ideas to senior leadership for input and support
- Understanding of contract management and contract risks/gaps in the healthcare provider industry as well as understanding of how to coordinate with legal
