FP&A Manager (Hybrid based in Dallas, TX)

The primary purpose of this position is to support the technical needs of the Financial Planning function. This position will provide financial modeling expertise in the development of top-down planning scenarios and earnings targets. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for supporting the planning tools, and processes used in developing budgets, forecasts, and strategic five-year plans. This position will also be responsible for organizing and researching routine analysis as well as ad-hoc requests as necessary.
FP&A Manager will also assist in consolidating and evaluating annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly risk and opportunity assessments. This position will work closely with other FP&A team members to provide subject matter expertise and support for all planning activities. Works independently and with little supervision; prioritizes and manages multiple tasks to meet deadlines and provide accurate and educated insight into Tenet’s financial information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creation, review, analysis, and distribution of operational forecasts and budgets.
- Support hospital and home office staff with preparation of forecasts and budgets.
- Assist in review, understanding, and critique of hospital forecasts, business plans, and budgets. Contribute to recurring and ad hoc financial modeling exercises including development of top-down financial plans and long-tern earnings outlooks.
- Research and prepare data for key constituents for use in Quarter end analytics.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required with 5-10 years relevant work experience.
- The qualified candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and be able to utilize industry experience to identify and evaluate the impact of external and internal factors and trends.
- High level of technical expertise is a must with the ability to learn and support new systems.
- Candidate must be experienced in establishing effective business partnerships and be able to demonstrate capability to work in a fast-paced matrixed environment successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously for senior financial executives.
- Knowledge of financial systems, specifically Adaptive, is a strong plus.
- Strong work ethic.
