JOB SUMMARY

This is a PRN role (indefinite duration), working 5-20 hours per week. (This is not a summer internship.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the tracking and implementation of new laws and regulations
  • Working with outside counsel to help manage litigation and government investigations
  • Legal research 
  • Work with Operations and Compliance to help mitigate legal risk
  • Other projects as assigned

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills                                                 
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be organized and work well with constant priority changes
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

  • Pursuing a law degree (2nd year or 3rd year preferred)
  • Prefer experience with a law firm or in-house legal department 
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
