JOB SUMMARY

Senior Auditor is a staff level position established to assist management in identifying, analyzing and managing audits and risks. Supports audit manager with audits of Conifer operational and corporate areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Others may be assigned.

  • Perform IT risk assessment and develop IT audit plan
  • Evaluate and perform SOX IT General Control testing
  • Coordination of SOC1 and SOC2 audits with external auditors
  • Can easily adapt between working independently or collaboratively on a team, with various stakeholders, audit teams, and on unstructured projects
  • Perform testing, assesses results, and develops meaningful recommendations for management
  • Preparing audit programs and reporting on results and findings upon completion of audit.
  • Learning, promoting and upholding the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Adhering to the department’s quality assurance process for planning, analysis, and documentation and reporting on all audit projects
  • Staying abreast of best practices and providing a means for introducing those practices to the organization’s business units and processes

  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing standards and an understanding of financial accounting and reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of internal and external auditing standards and practices, including the audits of Information Technology functions
  • Experience in reviewing the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information/systems and the means used to identify, measure, classify, and report such information
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities with quality and within a short timeline.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Can easily adapt between working independently or collaboratively on a team, with various stakeholders, audit teams, and on unstructured projects
  • Effective interpersonal/communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Effective time management skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

  • Bachelor’s degree required. (Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology and/or internal auditing
  • A CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE, CISSP or other relevant certification is preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and/or public accounting preferred
  • Robotics Processing Automation (RPA) experience preferred
