Senior Clinical Informatics Project Manager - Dallas

Description:

In support of Tenet Healthcare employed physician efforts, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager works closely with the Sr. Director of Clinical Informatics, Tenet Physician Resources teams, and various ancillary vendors in use throughout our enterprise.

  • Overall management of software and service implementations
  • Plan, execute and direct implementation tasks internally within TPR
  • Develop implementation project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, cost projections.
  • Facilitate resolution of open or outstanding project related issues
  • Schedule appropriate resources to execute tasks outlined in implementation project plans
  • Meet and/or exceed project goals set by management
  • Use independent judgment to plan, execute and direct implementation tasks within Tenet to achieve the project objectives, ensuring the deliverables are on time and of high quality
  • Utilize advance knowledge/proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio and MS Project to develop, manage and maintain project plans
  • Independently document all interactions. This data is used to by executive management to determine Requester Satisfaction, project management and/or department enhancements, employee and customer direction and other factors critical to department and/or company s operation
  • Exercise independent judgment to determine and facilitate the appropriate course of action to be taken, during the course of an implementation, based on the analysis performed and evaluation of all possible solutions
  • Execute the appropriate actions to address critical and/or outstanding issues impacting the implementation timeline
  • Responsible for ensuring all deliverables have been met prior to conclusion of a project
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects are staying within the scope and financial budget established. Through analysis and exercising best judgment consulting with requesting individual and/or management when situation require the need to go outside initial scope and budget
  • Utilize advance knowledge/proficiency with MS PowerPoint to prepare and conduct presentations to the Information technology team and/or additional stakeholders
  • Independently maintain personal calendar and schedule
  • Provide recommendations/consultation to Management on areas for departmental or implementation process improvements


Qualifications:
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill
  • Excellent people skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of Physician Practice Operations
  • Proficient working with MS Office Suite of products including but not limited to Word, Excel, Project and Power Point
  • Self-starter, with strong sense of ownership, assertive follow-through, and orientation towards results
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proactively handle multiple issues and projects
  • Exhibits a positive, open, and professional attitude to internal and external customer base
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Basic working knowledge of clinical work flow in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Proficient understanding of technical terminology, network architecture, and business application systems
Desired Skills:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of clinical work flow in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Six Sigma experience and/or certification
  • PMI certification
