JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Vice President, Specialty Services (CEO, Specialty Services Division) plays a critical role in optimizing the delivery of healthcare services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering strategic partnerships for overall organizational success.

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to scale TPR’s Specialty Services across markets, which includes group practice models and management services organization, for high-quality procedural and surgical specialists. Evaluate market trends, competition, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risk. Collaborate with senior leadership across Tenet and USPI to ensure alignment with organization’s service line goals to meet community need.

Practice Acquisition & Physician Recruitment: Active contributor to physician practice acquisitions and physician recruitment and develop a high-quality, specialty physician network. Develop short-term and long-term manpower plans Collaborate with Corporate Development, Physician Recruitment, Finance and other Corporate and TPR functions.

Operational Leadership and Oversight: Implement necessary operations team structure in market(s) and managed Director and Manager of Operations. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance and consistency across all the markets. Develop and implement standard operating procedures and monitor key performance indicators across quality, patient access, physician and provider productivity, financial and operational performance.

Financial Management: Ensure the Specialty Services Division is meeting/exceeding all financial KPIs.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least ten years of practice management experience in a large multispecialty group of physicians that includes management responsibility for all operational areas including finance.
  • Flexibility to travel up 75% of the time to various markets where Specialty Services operates practices.

  • Ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with attention to detail in a fast-paced and purposeful environment. An individual of highest personal and professional integrity, principle and knowledge, earning respect and support when making difficult decisions and choices. Able to establish immediate credibility with peers, senior leadership, and medical staff.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
