Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that a safe and healthful working environment is provided for all employees in accordance with current Federal, State, Local, Corporate and other regulatory agency standards. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering all policies related to the Employee Health Program for the Delray Medical Center Campus and its entities. Employee Health Programs include, but are not limited to Injury / Illness Prevention, First Responder/Worker’s Compensation, Pre-Employment Health Assessment, OSHA compliance and Employee Immunizations. Considered essential personnel in emergencies. Complies with facility service initiatives related to improving patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.

  • Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for all information communicated at meetings.
  • Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.
  • Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors, employees and other customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.
  • Adheres to the following environmental care standards.
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.
  • Complies with all policies and procedures that pertain to HIPAA including the minimum necessary requirements for this position.

 

EDUCATION

  • Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN license to practice nursing in State of Florida.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in area of occupational health, workers’ compensation, employee health, case management or community health.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

  • Current Florida licensure in specific field area. Maintains hospital standards for life-saving/support training (e.g. BLS, ACLS, etc.)

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Travel acrross Palm Beach Health Network's locations, based in West Palm Beach at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
