Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem Rotate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for following established departmental protocols and providing Radiologist’ and Cardiologist’ with the best possible images for interpretation while maintaining the highest level of patient care and assessment. He or she coordinates the intradepartmental communications to ensure that exams are completed in a timely and efficient manner, in compliance to established turnaround time standards. Assists as needed with interdepartmental process improvement plans and ensures that data is collected for monthly and quarterly reports. Ensures quality of care and the best possible patient outcome

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program and

Registered by the ARDMS in either abdomen or OB.

EXPERIENCE:

2 years’ experience preferred in ultrasound imaging. Certified in Vascular (RVT) preferred

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or

Cardiovascular Credentialing International

American Heart Association BLS certification

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic computer skills
