Job Description:

Under general supervision, collects soiled linen from patient care soiled linen utility rooms and transports soiled linen carts to primary hold area. Transports clean linen to user areas on a route scheduled basis.

  • Stocks and restocks clean linen as required, assists truck driver with the unloading of clean linen carts and loading of soiled linen carts. Interacts with patient care nursing staff to resolve routine related problems.
  • Keeps department Supervisor or Director advised of any reported linen problems.
  • Maintains neatness and cleanliness of clean and soiled patient care utility rooms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by department Supervisor or Director.
  • Provides instruction and orientation to others as needed. Assists with inspection of work areas and allocation of staff assignments.
  • May assist with maintaining records.
  • Responsible for the proper performance of assigned duties under general supervision, including the attainment and maintenance of production and quality standards.


Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Three to six months of linen work experience.
