Job Summary

  • Leads the execution of the strategy for the specific market or service lines this individual is directly responsible for.
  • Ensures direct reports adhere to company service level agreements and industry best practices around process performance and timeliness, posting practices, candidate experience and manager and facility leadership relationships.
  • Has direct supervisory responsibility for a subset of the larger Group recruitment team. This includes performance management, annual evaluations, training, and support.
  • Assists recruiters and managers in issue resolution for process, technology, candidate flow or other issues as they may arise.
  • Takes a leadership stance for the entire Group team and can act as short-term coverage for the Group manager when out.
  • Provide reports and other actionable information to facility leadership that drives recruiting results.
  • Coordinates recruitment efforts for assigned facilities and/or service line vacancies to attract qualified candidates to fill openings within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Maintains Applicant Tracking System and postings to ensure SEO and JD attract qualified applicants.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with Department Managers and Directors to ensure accuracy of open positions and alignment with Contract Labor and Overtime. Works with managers to develop unit specific recruitment and workforce planning solutions. Consults with hiring managers to ensure that fairness in hiring is accomplished through management practices and final selection decisions.
  • Rounding in facilities using Intake guides and Service Level Agreements to understand the unique culture and fit necessary to staff units
  • Develops strategy to include media recommendations, niche sites and conferences to develop pipeline
  • Reviews and screens applications including internal transfers for min qualifications, salary discovery and cultural fit
  • Calculates salary, presents and negotiates offers
  • Closes job requisition in compliance with departmental policy, informing unsuccessful candidates of their status.
  • Partner with HR meetings in order to identify obstacles, process improvements and promote positive communication within the team
  • Train and Develop New Recruiters and Coordinators
  • Lead in advertising & marketing, as well as job fairs and hiring events for the market
  • Onsite visits as required
  • Other projects as assigned


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of recruiting experience required.
  • Previous experience in a people leadership role is preferred
  • Previous experience in an acute care hospital environment is preferred.
  • Ability to influence others and achieve desired outcomes through others.
  • Strong internet recruiting skills

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate computer software capabilities
  • Weekly, on-site visits may be required.
    • Strong communication skills necessary to establish good working relationships with departmental leaders as well as recruitment sources and convey a favorable image of the Market and Tenet as well as discussing sensitive employment and legal issues with all levels of employees and candidates.
    • Ability to digest and use data to drive decision making and outcomes across direct reports as well as stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of hospital departmental operations and jobs, the job market, advertising media. Creative thinking in sourcing candidates is necessary to plan and execute effective recruitment campaigns.
    • Computer skills required for using variety of data bases and technology.
    • Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
