Description
This position is part of a team that supports the staffing needs of a specific Tenet group of healthcare organizations, so you must be willing to float throughout the market. You will be expected to follow the policies and protocols of the assigned facility or follow the directions of your on-site supervisor. Your off-site TRA supervisor is the local TRA Clinical Market Manager or individual acting in that position.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner or Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians. Expert proficiency level required with the ability to handle complex cases and able to teach and mentor others. Performs all types of Respiratory Care, including diagnostic testing, treadmills, complete PFTs, ABG machine maintenance, hemodynamics, special procedures, and ENGs. Performs procedures required in the specialty areas, i.e,. ICU, PACU, etc. Performs assessment and treatment of the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum education
Associate's degree from an accredited degree program in respiratory care recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree from a CoARC-accredited program
Experience:
Minimum Experience
Must have 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
Preferred Experience
ICU, hemodynamic, PFT, and cardiology experience preferred
Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
State License as a respiratory therapist
CPR-Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
ACLS
NRP (Peds specialty RT)
PALS
