TRA Detroit Sterile Processing Tech Local and Travel Contracts

Description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for task-based sterile processing activities. This position will support all the facilities in the market as needed. Work directly with Tenet on a Travel Contract or Local Contract With this in-house assignment you will be part of the contingent workforce pool, yet, a W-2 Tenet employee direct with Tenet’s health system providing you with preferred contracts and contract security.
Job Description and Requirements
- Specialty: Certified Sterile Tech
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- 40 Hours per week available
- Shifts available: Evenings and Midnights
- Employment Type: Local Contracts
- Facilities: Detroit Receiving
Local Contract pay currently $51.52 an hour. Contract pay can change according to market conditions and this rate is not guaranteed. You must speak with a Recruiter to confirm rates at time of signing a 13 week contract.
Requirements:
- BLS, Cert (IAHCSMM or similar)
- Must have 2 years of Sterile Tech experience in a hospital setting

Responsible for activities including, but not limited to decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation including various software applications, assembly, and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and working in collaboration with surgical partners to provide accurate and complete surgical instrumentation and needed supplies.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: High school diploma or GED. Completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course with field training.
Experience:
Preferred: 1 year in sterile processing.
Certifications:
Preferred: Current certification through internationally recognized organizations such as IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) or Certification Board for Central Sterile Processing.
