TRA RN Surgical Tech Travel and Local Contracts- Detroit
Job Details
The Surgical Technician is responsible for aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures; pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, sets up operating room and supplies needed for day/following day’s schedule. Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program.
Preferred: Associate degree.
Experience:
Required: 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
Certifications:
Required: AHA BLS, Surgical Technology Certification.

Description
This role provides direct clinical patient care with Tenet's in-house contingent Pool, Trusted Resource Associates. Work directly with Tenet on a Travel Contract, Local Contract or PRN. With this in-house assignment you will be part of the contingent workforce pool, yet, a W-2 Tenet employee direct with Tenet’s health system providing you with preferred contracts and contract security.
Job Description and Requirements

- 36 and 40 Hours per week available
- Shifts available: AM or PM
- Employment Type: Local or Travel Contracts
- Facilities: Harper Hutzel, Detroit Receiving and Childrens Hopsital.
Local Contract pay currently $52 an hour. Travel Contracts are approx $1425 weekly. Contract pay can change according to market conditions and this rate is not guaranteed. You must speak with a Recruiter to confirm rates at time of signing a 13 week contract.
Requirements:
- BLS and ACLS
- Must have 2 years of Acute Care experience with a minimum one-year current experience as a Surg Tech
