The Director of Financial Ops Analytics exhibits leadership to analysts by designing, directing, and executing VBC hospital client management agreements. This includes client risk pool reporting, review and analysis. Interface with clients on a regular basis to present financial performance and strategize on recommendations for improvement under the risk model while dealing with the challenges of a changing healthcare environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a level of understanding of risk pool accounting practices, which includes a monthly review of incurred but not reported (IBNR) expenses and all aspects of the profit/loss for each hospital client risk pools.
  • Lead or oversee reporting for hospital clients and proforma reporting new and existing clients. Maintain up-to-date expertise on reporting requirements related to all Conifer hospital clients under his/her direction.
  • Coordinate Analytics team analysts on financial performance reporting by providing guidance and direction. Ensure timely delivery of needed reporting to clients and various business unit stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior VBC leaders and operations team members to ensure client needs are met in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Serve as mentor for team members and resource for manager level associates.
  • Possible travel to client meetings to present financial performance reports, make recommendations for improvement and strategize with clients as a subject matter expert in delegated risk.

  • Experienced and comfortable making presentations to both Conifer and client Executive Leadership
  • Advanced ability to work well with team members and Conifer leadership, respectful of all positions at all levels, as well as complete tasks independently and professionally
  • Ability to effectively and professionally motivate team members and peers to meet goals
  • Advanced organizational, customer service, interpersonal, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including resourcing
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare risk management
  • Intermediate level skills in applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Crystal Reports and EZ-Cap

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

  • 4 year college degree in Business, Accounting, or 7 or more years of related experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • Extensive experience as a Financial Analyst at a manager level

Compensation and Benefit Information

Compensation

  • Pay: $98,592 - $157,664 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
  • Position may be eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan bonus of 10%-25% depending on role level.
  • Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
