This position is part of a team that supports the staffing needs of a specific Tenet group of healthcare organizations so you must
be willing to float throughout the market. You will be expected to follow the policies and protocols of the assigned facility or
follow the directions of your on site supervisor. Your offsite TRA supervisor is the local TRA Clinical Market Manager or individual
acting in that position.
The Behavioral Health Tech is responsible for facilitating the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in a psychiatric unit or
unit with psych patients and assists patients with daily living activities. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned
patients. The BHT may take vital signs, weigh patients and collect routine specimens. Attends and participates in group therapy,
knowledgeable and competent to respond to patients with behavioral health needs.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Minimum 60 hours (college credit) in human services, psychology, education, sociology, or related field. (Transcript required); or
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED PLUS 2 YEARS RECENT CNA EXPERIENCE

EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
1 year experience in a clinical setting
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Clinical experience with behavioral health patients preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
· CPI certification
· CPR-Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
