Patient Transporter FT Rotating at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus El Paso TX

Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department which may include transporting of medications of hazardous (Chemotherapy) and non-hazardous type. Is responsible for the proper transportation and safety of the patient. Is under the general guidance of the Radiology floor supervisor/ Lead Technologist. Is expected to treat all patients with dignity and respect. May be given some file clerk duties if deemed necessary by the supervisor/ lead technologist/ May be exposed to radiation and a variety of diseases.


Responsibilities

  • Receives, transports and delivers documents, materials, medications, supplies, medical records, x-rays and biohazards for all departments and facilities
  • Maintains accurate courier log with times, locations and contents received and delivered
  • Inspects the company courier vehicle before and after each scheduled delivery


Qualifications:

Education

Required: High School Graduate or equivalent

Experience

Required:
Preferred: 1 year in patient transportation

Certifications

Required: CPR
