Description:

The TRA ER RN staff will provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals. Participates in hourly rounding. Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
Program requirements include:
Employees must be willing to work across multiple THOP Campuses and Tenet facilities in their respective market.

Employees are required to work a minimum of two (3) total shifts per month, one (1) weekend shift per month, and one (1) holiday per year, (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). The Employee is Also required to Float Within the Hospitals within the system they are working in. with Rate of $47.00 hr.

Certifications:
BLS
ACLS
NIH-Stroke Certification
PALS
CPI- Crisis Prevention intervention Cert.
ENPC Cert

Preferred Qualifications: BSN. Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.

Special Skills:
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure. Excellent customer service skills. Must have basic computer skills.
