Mammography Technologist Per Diem Days
Job Details
Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician.
Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
Is multi-skilled in the additional area of mammography.
Will also perform procedures in Bone Density.
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs
- Assists practitioner with percutaneous localizations and aspirations of the breast
- Optimizes mammography procedures by completing QA-QC protocols
Qualifications:
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Preferred: Associates degree
Experience
Required: 2 years in diagnostic mammography radiography
Certifications
Required: ARRT ( R, M), state license if required
