Practice Coordinator for El Paso Staff BHS Physician Network
Job Details
- Key responsibilities include the precise and efficient input of charges derived from encounter forms submitted by various physician practices and hospitals. Solid understanding of invoice preparation and completion, and proficiency in handling edits and interfaces, which involves familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and relevant modifiers.
- Preparation and organization of source documents, for but not limited to, Nuclear studies, Echocardiograms, Carotid Arterial assessments, Plain Stress Tests, and Pacemaker Defibrillator information, and other devices including insurance coverage details.
- Providing guidance, instruction, or orientation to team members is essential, ensuring that necessary training and corrections are implemented.
- Be the primary backup for all PSR roles.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.
• 1-2 years of experience in the Insurance or Healthcare sector, specifically in billing, medical claims, and charge entry.
• Proficient data entry capabilities, with the capacity to manage a substantial volume of information.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring both speed and accuracy in tasks.
• Competent in conducting analysis and providing recommendations, such as selecting, combining, or reorganizing data to reach logical conclusions, or sorting data and creating charts to highlight key insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Familiar with various software programs, including Athena.
Description
The Practice Coordinator plays a crucial role in entering charges and demographic data into the Athena system to facilitate invoice generation for billing purposes. Key responsibilities include the precise and efficient input of charges derived from encounter forms submitted by various physician practices and hospitals. This role necessitates a solid understanding of the invoice creation process and its completion. Additionally, familiarity with multiple systems and analytical skills is essential. As a Practice Coordinator, you will also be tasked with managing edits and interfaces, which requires knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and relevant modifiers.
