Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Ability to accurately work in consecutive mode and sight translate into and from working language(s).
Proof of medical interpreting training from an accredited program– minimum of 60 hours and added trainings, webinars, conference attendance, etc.
2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting as a medical interpreter with strong medical vocabulary (including vocabulary of medical specialties, to interpret for our medical specialties departments).Applicant ideally should be in the path for National Certification and/or motivated to become National Certified as a Medical Interpreter.
Knowledge of computer systems.
