JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Education and Development Coordinator (NE) is a vital part of our organization, having expertise in Personal Health Management and or Utilization Management with the ability to transfer these skills to newly hired nurses. The NE is responsible for new hire orientation as per policy. Additionally, the NE is actively involved in supporting the nurses during quarterly refresher training and during process and procedure changes and enhancements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
- Coordinates New Personal Health Nurse (PHN) orientation as per policy for new hires and nurses changing roles to PHM. Creates and distributes training agenda. Presents approved training presentations per schedule. Communicates our holistic approach to Medical Management.
- Creates and updates training materials as needed and as directed by manager and director.
- Educates staff in regards to policy and procedure changes, system enhancements, and new functionality. Acts as a resource for less senior staff.
- Provides refresher training for PHNs and UMNs. Communicates with MPH, QA liaison, and Support Team as appropriate.
- Provides retraining for existing team members when requested by the MPH and approved by the Director of Population Health.

- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals professionally. This may include: physicians, client managers, nurses, customer service staff, and clients.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write in a professional, business manner
- Intermediate skills in a variety of computer programs including email, word processing,
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Knowledge of our holistic model of Medical Management
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
- General understanding of cost containment and how it relates to medical management
- Ability and willingness to function both independently and as part of a team
Conifer requires its candidates, as applicable and as permitted by law, to obtain and provide confirmation of all required vaccinations and screenings prior to the start of employment. This may include, but is not limited to, the COVID-19 vaccination, influenza vaccination, and/or any future required vaccines and screenings.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of diverse clinical experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Personal Health Nurse (PHN).
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of residence.
- CCM Preferred.

Compensation and Benefit Information
Compensation
- Pay: $72,509.00 - $108,763.00 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
