Job Summary

Conifer Health is seeking a seasoned sales executive with a hunter mentality to win new business for our technology-enabled revenue cycle outsourcing services. This role is built for a proactive seller who generates their own leads, builds relationships with executive decision makers, and takes complex opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution.

You will bring a deep understanding of the entire revenue cycle and use a consultative approach to help hospitals, health systems, and physician groups improve financial and operational performance. Success requires executive presence, disciplined territory planning, and a demonstrated ability to close large, multi-year services engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business: Independently identify, prospect, and develop opportunities through targeted outreach, industry relationships, networking, and market research.
  • Own your territory: Develop and execute a territory plan that identifies priority accounts, growth opportunities, sales strategies, and support needed to achieve results.
  • Engage executive decision makers: Build trusted relationships with CEOs, CFOs, and other leaders responsible for revenue cycle performance and purchasing decisions.
  • Sell comprehensive services: Position technology-enabled revenue cycle outsourcing solutions that address each prospect’s operational challenges and financial goals.
  • Lead the full sales process: Own discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, executive presentations, negotiations, and closure of complex, multi-year engagements.
  • Build compelling business cases: Translate financial and operational data into tailored proposals and presentations that clearly demonstrate value, expected outcomes, and return on investment.
  • Coordinate internal expertise: Partner with operations, finance, technology, and solution leaders to develop credible, executable solutions while maintaining ownership of the opportunity.
  • Manage pipeline and performance: Maintain accurate opportunity records and forecasts, meet sales commitments, and build a pipeline that supports sustained growth.
  • Represent Conifer Health: Participate in industry events and executive discussions to strengthen market awareness and develop new opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare services or consulting sales, including a strong record of new client acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success selling revenue cycle services and outsourcing engagements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the revenue cycle, from patient access and registration through coding, billing, collections, denial management, and accounts receivable.
  • Experience selling to hospitals and health systems, with the ability to navigate complex organizations and engage executive decision makers. Physician group experience is valuable but must be complemented by hospital or health system experience.
  • Proven ability to generate an independent pipeline and close multi-million-dollar, multi-year services agreements.
  • Strong executive presence, financial acumen, and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to independently develop territory plans, customized proposals, and persuasive executive presentations.
  • Strong planning, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the judgment and accountability to operate independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established relationships with hospital and health system executives within the assigned territory.
  • Experience selling comprehensive, technology-enabled revenue cycle outsourcing services.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.

Location and Travel

This role supports the Central territory. Residence within the assigned market is preferred but not required.

Approximately 50%–75% travel may be required for prospect meetings, presentations, industry events, and hospital visits. The selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.

What It Takes to Be Successful

Success in this role requires a hunter mentality, executive presence, and deep knowledge of the entire revenue cycle. You must be able to generate your own pipeline, engage executive decision makers, and turn a clear territory strategy into new client wins. The strongest candidates take ownership of the full sales process, from prospecting and relationship building to developing compelling proposals and presentations and consistently demonstrate how technology-enabled revenue cycle services deliver measurable value.
