Abrazo Health is a trusted partner in health for residents of the Greater Phoenix area, delivering the highest levels of quality, personalized health care. Abrazo operates five acute care hospitals , two micro-hospitals, two freestanding Emergency Departments, several service-specific institutes and centers, as well as multiple physician medical group offices including primary care, bariatric, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology & neurosurgery, spine, and orthopedic offices.
Our acute care hospitals consist of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital (a satellite of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus), Abrazo Scottsdale Campus, Abrazo Central Campus and Abrazo West Campus. Each hospital offers a broad range of medical services including internal medical, general surgery, neurosciences, cardiology, orthopedics, spine, obstetrics, women’s health, diagnostic imaging and emergency care. Our patient services include outpatient surgery, laboratory, radiology and rehabilitation services. Additionally, our Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital is known for its distinct reputation as a premier cardiovascular specialty hospital and center of excellence dedicated exclusively to cardiac and cardiovascular care. Our two micro-hospitals are located in Surprise and Cave Creek and offer full service acute care with 8 inpatient beds, 24 hour emergency and surgical services, as well as a fully operational surgical and procedural room and full imaging suite.
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus is a 229-bed acute care facility.
Key service lines include Cardiovascular, including Structural Heart, Vascular, and Open Heart procedures, Da Vinci Robotic Surgery (a mature, growing program with four XI robots), Women’s and Infants program, including a Level 3B NICU, Digestive Health, Men’s Health and advanced urological procedures and technology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, including total joints, Spine Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Services, Heart Care, Oncology, Rehabilitation Services, Stroke and Vascular Care, Surgical Services, and Wound Care.
In October 2020, Abrazo opened the Abrazo Surprise Hospital under Arrowhead’s license. This micro-hospital serves a vital healthcare need in the Northwest Phoenix geography and is a full-service acute care hospital with an Emergency Department, Inpatient telemetry beds, Pharmacy, and Laboratory. Arrowhead also operates a free-standing Emergency Department in North Peoria.

Abrazo Arrowhead Campus has been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® Orthopedic Care Facility for total joint replacement of knees and hips.
- American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get with the Guidelines Honor Roll
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, Abrazo Central Campus, Abrazo Scottsdale Campus and Abrazo West Campus are recipients of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get with the Guidelines Honor Roll for using the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatment guidelines for improved patient care and outcomes.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield – Blue Distinction Center
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus was recognized with the Blue Distinction Center Award for Cardiac Care, and Hip and Knee Replacement for meeting national standards for quality and affordability by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.
- The Joint Commission
Accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) on Health Care Organizations – TJC has accredited hospitals for more than 50 years and approximately 88 percent of the nation’s hospitals are currently accredited.
- Abrazo Arrowhead Campus is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by DNV Healthcare. Certification ensures those suffering stroke symptoms will be able to receive the care they need close to home, avoiding a long transport to another hospital when time is of the essence.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of five years of experience in Strategic Planning and Healthcare Strategy/Development is required. Experience developing complex business plans and using data to drive strategy is a must.
- Knowledge of healthcare organization and administration and of standards and laws applicable to managing strategy and planning issues with facility operations.
- Knowledge of healthcare, strategic and financial planning.
- Proven financial management skills, capable of reaching closure and timely accomplishment of objectives with a focus on P & L.
- Knowledge of principles of interactive planning, participatory management and influence management.
- Skilled at executing strategy and problem solving; asks the right questions, follows up and determines the facts, setting priorities based on business opportunity. Skilled at spotting trends and developments. Able to direct the development of business plans and proformas.

Education/Certifications
An undergraduate degree in Business, or appropriately relevant field, is required. An advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health is strongly preferred.
Compensation
A competitive compensation program will be tailored to the selected candidate. Base salary will be supplemented by a performance bonus and comprehensive, well-rounded benefits program, which includes relocation assistance.
