Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician.
Produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned.


Responsibilities

  • Produces high quality images in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Completes required exams.
  • Sends studies to reading station for radiologist review, completes all associated documentation.

Qualifications:

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.

Preferred: Associate's Degree in Allied Health or Bachelor'sDegree and certification in another Clinical Imaging field.


Experience


Required: 6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience.


Preferred: 2 years in MRI


Required Certifications/Licensure

Possession of current Texas Department of State Health license or Texas Medical Board-General Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate (General or Temporary)
Possession of ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiology or registry eligible according to ACR guidelines.
Must have ARRT in MR or CAMRT within one year post graduation of accredited school, or before January 2018, whichever comes first.

Preferred Certifications/Licensure:MRI National Certification

Required Courses/Completions:BLS - Obtained thru the American Heart Association.
