Summary
Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures.
Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.

EducationRequired: Graduate of accredited CAAHEP or Diagnostic Medical Sonography School or at least 6 months of clinical experience
ExperienceRequired: 6 months in clinical setting
Preferred: 2 years
Required: Registry eligible and BLS.
Preferred: RDMS, RDCS, or RCS
