Job Details
Review and monitor patient's medication therapy and orders written for safety and efficacy considering specific patient conditions and health status; advise patient care team of issues with, or possible enhancements to, patient's medication therapy and document such interventions. Prepare, label, and dispense medications for patients in accordance with physicians' prescriptions; ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and narcotics and the maintenance of required records. Ensure that appropriate medications are available for patients and properly procured, prepared, stored, and maintained. Supervise the process and technical personnel who assist in preparation, maintenance and dispensing of drugs and supplies. Maintain liaison relationships with medical and nursing staff; provide timely information pertaining to pharmaceutical supplies, drug usage and compatibility, state and federal regulations regarding drug controls, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: Pharm.
D. or BS in Pharmacy
Certifications:
Required: Pharmacy license, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS required if direct patient care responsibilities.
Physical Demands:
Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs. of force. Frequent standing and walking. Frequent reaching, stooping, and bending. Manual dexterity, mobility, touch, auditory to perform all the related duties of the position.

Job Posting title: TRA Pharmacist Travel and Local Contracts
This is a Pharmacist position with Tenet's in-house contingent Pool, Trusted Resource Associates. Work directly with Tenet on a Travel Contract, or Local Contract. With this in-house assignment you will be part of the contingent workforce pool, yet a W-2 Tenet employee direct with Tenet’s health system providing you with preferred contracts and contract security.

- Shifts available: Day or Night
- Employment Type: Local or Travel Contracts
- Facility: John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital
- Pay: Local contract rate is $89.32/hr and travel approximate weekly gross is $3,300.00

Requirements:
- BLS,
- Must have 2 years of Acute Care experience with a minimum one-year current experience as a Pharmacist
