Description:

JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK’s cross streets is named in his honor.

Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:
•Emergency care 24/7
•Orthopedic and joint replacement services using emerging technology
•Cardiovascular services
•Maternity care and pediatric services
•Ambulatory surgery center
•Imaging services
•Outpatient Rehabilitation Center

Position Description:

Under the direction of the Imaging Services Director and in conjunction with the Medical Director of Imaging Services. Unit Secretary shall be able to perform all aspects of unit secretary duties and will possess the necessary skills to perform the duties of the position. Duties include but are not limited to:

· Answer phones

· Check in patients presenting to Radiology, Cardiopulmonary, Cath Lab and Laboratory (as needed)

· Process orders for Outpatients

· Make CD’s for medical records and the floors

· Print Outpatient schedules for technologist and Radiologist

· Distribute requisitions and labels to appropriate departments

· Check lab results for contrast patients and special procedures

· Look up MRI Questionnaire

· Maintain worklist in Cerner, PAC’s and Rad Partners portal

· Maintain supplies

· Check crash carts daily

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:
· High School Graduate or equivalent.

· Previous hospital experience preferred.

· Basic Computer Skills.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $30.44 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
