Los Alamitos Medical Center is a 172-bed acute-care facility serving the residents of Orange County.
Los Alamitos Medical Center serves the Orange County and great Long Beach areas. Specializations include a dedicated outpatient facility that houses cancer, imaging, and infusion centers, a bi-plane catheterization lab, robot-assisted surgery capabilities, an Orthopedic Destination Center and radiation oncology physician services provided by UCLA Health. Awards and distinctions include the American Stroke Association Get With the Guidelines Gold+ Performance Achievement Award for Stroke with Honor Roll Elite Plus and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll and a Comprehensive Stroke Center designation by DNV-GL.

Job Summary
The director provides leadership and direction for the cardiovascular service line. Is responsible for supporting the strategic planning and development of all services within the service line. The director works with the management team to plan, organize, staff, direct, and control the activities of the interventional suites (cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology), cardiology, and cardiac rehab. The director develops collaborative relationships with medical directors, medical groups, the community, and professional organizations to optimize service line performance and enhance the image of Los Alamitos Medical Center. The director recommends and implements an integrated performance and quality improvement process that will enhance efficiency, improve effectiveness, and ensure high customer satisfaction and optimal patient outcomes. The director actively participates on the stroke committee and works with stroke program leadership to enhance the hospital's performance as a designated stroke center. The director is also responsible for directing EEG services.
Qualifications:
MANDATORY:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing or a related field
Graduate of an accreditated nursing program
Current California State Nursing License
Minimum five (5) years progressive managerial experience in healthcare (cardiac and neuroscience area preferred)
Minimum three (3) years in development or a strategic executive role
PREFERRED:
Minimum five (5) years clinical experience (cardiac and or neuroscience area preferred)
Proven strong communication and skillset with systems assessment and problem solving
Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating quality, process improvement, educational and patient flow programs or processes.
Master's prepared
