Description

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. This role will help reduce the workload on senior IT staff by handling routine support tasks, allowing them to focus on infrastructure and project-based work.

  • Respond to and resolve IT support requests related to hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Set up and configure workstations, peripherals, and user accounts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve printer, scanner, and other device-related issues.
  • Perform basic system maintenance, including software updates.
  • Assist users with password resets, access issues, and general IT inquiries.
  • Document IT procedures, common issues, and resolutions.
  • Support IT staff in larger projects, office moves, and system upgrades as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and assist in tracking replacements.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow documented procedures.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to assist non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
