Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying patient's needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning for and delegating care based on patient's needs, executing therapeutic physician or nurse initiated interventions, and evaluating the patient's response to care and progress towards outcomes. The Forensic Registered Nurse is proficient in diagnosis related to cardiac functioning and the symptomology for the patient.They are proficient in the interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias and instituting therapy based on physician orders, protocols, and policies.The Forensic Registered Nurse provides care in a safe environment utilizing safety measures and assisting in the prevention of patient elopement.#LI-AO1



Qualifications:

Within 30 days of hire, employee must: complete general and nursing orientation, pass a med test,

demonstrate accuracy and ability in administering medications & attend safety & security training.

Within 90 days of hire, employee must: show proficiency of IV therapy skills, complete

Telemetry Initial specific competencies per unit.Demonstrates basic dysrhythmia skills.

Graduate of accredited school of nursing.Current license in the state of Florida or eligible (confirmation

from State Board) for licensure. BSN preferred. Current BLS & ACLS card. CPI certification required.

Fundamental mathematics.Verbal and written English skills.
