HIM Tech II Full Time Days Position Summary
Serves as the float resource for essential HIM functions including chart processing, analysis, release of information, birth certificate processing, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
THE HIM TECH II FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Other Qualifications
- Associates Degree, preferably in Health Information Management.
- Three to five years’ experience in an acute care facility, preferably in a Health Information Management Department.
- RHIT or RHIA preferred.
- Proficient in medical terminology.
- Individual must possess knowledge of chart analysis.
- Experience in document imaging processes.
- Experience in physician completion processes.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Must demonstrate ability to make independent, responsible decisions upholding policy and procedure; must have concern for detail and be able to work quickly and accurately.
- Individual must maintain a pleasant and tactful manner when working with people in stressful situations and be able to solve problems and deal with conflict; must have the ability to interpret a variety of handwritten data.
