Position Summary

Under direction of DCQI, is responsible for supporting the operation, functions, and objectives of the Clinical Quality Department. Responsible for ensuring that staff coordinates patient care activities to conform to evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements. Responsible for collaboration with physician and other healthcare disciplines to assure positive interdisciplinary workflow and service excellence is championed.   Assist in coordinating all Disease Specific Certification activities.  Leads Performance Improvement activities as needed.  Participates in the IRB/Research functions of the department, as needed. Participates in the Inter-rater reliability activities required within the Quality Department.

Education/Qualifications

·Clinical background required.  BSN required; MSN preferred. 

·Minimum of three (3) years of hospital-based clinical experience preferred. 

·Previous experience with Evidence-based medicine preferred.

·Strong interpersonal skills.

·Strong critical thinking skills.

·Experience with performance improvement, the performance improvement process and core measures.

·Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards related to utilization review, CMS, JCAHO, and other regulatory and accrediting bodies. 

·Strong computer skills to include Excel, data analysis techniques, including use of statistical process control.
