Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.

Summary

Assists physicians in presenting, consenting and managing the record of patients enrolled in clinical trials, assuring compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares documents for initiating, monitoring and closing out visits with sponsors
  • Maintains compliance with procedures
  • Provides physician with study mandated criteria
  • Coordinates care to include evaluation of patient eligibility and registration of patients
  • Assists in the development of data collection tools

Qualifications

Education

Required: AA degree or equivalent

Experience

Required: 2 years in research

  • Demonstrates and understand study protocol elements and requirements in order to be able to carry out study procedures
  • Coordinate care of patients on clinical trials including assist the investigators in evaluating patient eligibility and assess patient reaction to any modifications or treatment that are part of protocol
  • Knowledge of GCP�s (Good Clinical Practices) and Federal regulations under Title 21
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct an informed consent discussion with patients
  • Prepare IRB and any other regulatory submission documents as required by the protocol.
  • Assist in the development of data collection tools for clinical trials to support the completion of the CRFs.
  • Medical terminology (oncology/neurology is a plus )

Pay Range: $42.93 - $66.52
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.
