Buyer II Full Time Days Position Summary

Focuses on processing and validating requests for supplies made by specific and assigned client departments to procure requested supplies and create Purchase Orders in accordance with Tenet and Abrazo policies/processes. The Buyer II is generally dedicated to processing bill only, non-file and specialized purchase orders (repairs, service, auto-ship) or for purchasing capital equipment across a variety of departments. Works closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice exceptions.

Special Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively through phone and email, provide excellent customer service, negotiate effectively, be highly organized, pay attention to detail and execute tactical plans. Strong organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Ability to work under tight deadlines and work overtime as needed. Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience buying products using Materials Management Information System (MMIS). Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output. Must have working and practical application knowledge of principles, methodologies, and liabilities related to Supply Chain Management. Ability to communicate at a high level to interact with Administrative Teams, Department Directors, nurses, physicians, and other departmental staff. Broad knowledge of medical and surgical products 

THE BUYER II FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma; College degree preferred for career advancement opportunities.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate degree.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years relevant experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Five plus years in healthcare purchasing
