The EP lab offers advanced technology such as fluroless catheter ablation and cryoablation, and partners with some of the leading Electrophysiologists. The EP Lab Tech contributes to quality patient care by preparing for, operating equipment and assisting the Electrophysiologist/Cardiologist during various invasive Electrophysiology/Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. Assist in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias specializing in the care of patients undergoing EP studies, device implants and ablations.
Minimum Education: Completion of formal two year radiologic technology training in AMA approved school which meets requirements for registry by the ARRT
Preferred Education: RCES or HRS Cert
Minimum Experience: Three years clinical.
Preferred Experience: On Year Cardiac Cath Lab and/or EP Lab.
Required Certification/Licensure: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration and CRT.
Required Course Training: ACLS Cert required upon hire.
Preferred Certification/Registration: Must obtain RCES or equivalent within 2 yrs.
Special Skills: Scrub diagnostic, complex ablation and device implant procedures. Monitor hemodynamics and charting. Pace and record for EPS.
