TRA Cath Lab Technician
This position is part of a team that supports the market s staffing needs so you must be willing to float throughout the market. You will be expected to follow the policies and protocols of the assigned facility or follow the directions of your on site supervisor. Your offsite TRA supervisor is the local TRA Clinical Market Manager or individual acting in that position.
The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for providing technical and patient support and patient care. Communicates continuously with the physician about patient condition. Assist physician during invasive and noninvasive procedures. Operates all equipment safely and correctly. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Laboratory team are met. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. The technician is authorized to be in the presence of medication.
Program requirements include:
Employees must be willing to work across multiple Abrazo facilities to include Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, Arrowhead Campus, Central Campus, Scottsdale Campus, and the Abrazo West Campus, and Tenet facilities in their respective market.
Employees are required to work a minimum of two (2) total shifts per month, one (1) weekend shift per month, and one (1) holiday per year, (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
Formal two year radiologic technology training in AMA approved school which meets requirements for registry by the ARRT
4 year degree
2 years in an acute care setting
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); or
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
State License-Arizona MRTBE license
CPR-Basic Life Support American Heart Association
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CI), (VI) or (CV)
