Cardiovascular Surgery Tech
Technologist providing technical, patient support, and patient care. Communicates continuously with the physician about patient condition. Assist physician with invasive and noninvasive procedures and/or surgeries. Operates equipment safely and correctly. Assesses procedure room and/or surgical suite for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the procedural and/or surgical team are met. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Demonstrates critical thinking in relation to patient management and physician interaction. CALL is required. CVOR preferred but willing to train Surgical Techs who have the desire to learn a cardiac speciality. New grad surgical techs welcome.
Hours: 630am-5pm plus CALL 4 days per week

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited two year cardiovascular technology training program; or surgical technology program; or equivalent on the job training including a minimum three month orientation.
