Description:

Abrazo Central Campus (located at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road), a 221-bed acute care facility and teaching hospital, has been providing quality care to patients in the Phoenix community for more than 50 years. Abrazo Central Campus is recognized for comprehensive cardiovascular care, neuroscience services including NICO BrainPath technology, orthopedics, women s health, radiology, and 24-hour emergency care, with more than 800 affiliated physicians on staff offering a wide range of medical specialties.

Position Summary:

Coordinates functions and activities related to a single departmental function. Position is responsible for a clinic unit. Position coordinates the scheduling efforts of the unit RN's. Acts as liaison person to internal and external customers (i.e., pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, hospital administration). Responsible for developing and implementing plans/processes for meeting regulatory requirements. Trains and mentors staff.




Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
PREFERRED EDUCATION: BSN
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two years relevant clinical nursing experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years RN supervisory or Charge RN experience. Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona. CPR. ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire, PALS preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively implement change and assist with the management of departmental budget. Must be able to independently make decisions in high-stress situations.

SUPERVISES: Other members of Healthcare Team.
