Senior Accountant Full Time Days Position Summary

Ability to provide a variety of alternatives in the resolution of complex or diverse problems.
Acts as a resource in providing information to others.
Is considered an expert in their area.
Assimilates and analyzes detailed information and produces results.
Recommends alternative approach toward problem solutions.
Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties.

Responsibilities

Balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, taxes, reconcile cash, prepare reports close general ledger.
Developing more advanced accounting skills and knowledge.
Ability to understand and evaluate internal controls and weaknesses to determine appropriate action.
Developing skills to move to asst.
Controller position.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to interact with both management and corporate office staff. Close attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under stressful situations. Ability to maintain strict confidentially of related financial information required. Must demonstrate general accepted accounting principles and adhere to corporate accounting guidelines. Advanced knowledge of computer software including excel. Attention to detail and calculations.

SUPERVISES: Functional supervision may be exercised over Staff Accountant, AP and Payroll staff.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent minimum experience.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three to four years accounting/financial experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of healthcare accounting.
